HIGH DESERT BOOK FESTIVAL

2023 UPDATE:  The COVID-19 pandemic caused us to have to cancel our planned 2020 book festival. We have since relocated to Los Angeles. Sadly, our attempts to partner with other nonprofits to continue the festival have been unsuccessful. For the immediate future, we do not see it continuing. Thanks for your past support.

PAST HISTORY OF THE HIGH DESERT BOOK FESTIVAL:

Click here to go to the 2020 High Desert Book Festival website! Sadly, due to THE COVID-19 Pandemic, we were compelled to cancel the 2020 book festival. We’ll see you next year!

As a central part of our mission to enhance access to arts, humanities and literacy, our nonprofit produced the inaugural 2016 High Desert Book Festival. We were very proud to be included in the City of Victorville’s Fall Festival. It was a ‘festival inside a festival’ and well received by all.

International bestselling author Anne Perry – pictured below with author Victoria Zackheim – was our keynote speaker for the 2016 festival and was scheduled to appear also for our 2020 book festival.

On November 3, 2018 we had a “pop up” High Desert Book Festival at the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce. Last year’s 2019 High Desert Book Festival was held at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Cosponsored by Hesperia Recreation & Park District and the City of Hesperia, we are proud to once again collaborate with them.

Sadly, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our 2020 High Desert Book Festival was cancelled. We are working on making this a virtual festival.
